Carnival and colored contact lenses are products which come directly in touch with your eyes and should not be treated casually as a harmless accessory. The user of these decorative contact lenses should not forget that although they don’t have power, they belong to the broader category of soft contact lenses that are used to treat near sightedness and other conditions. They are Medicare products and that is how they should be treated by their sellers and users. Even when they are used occasionally, they must be checked appropriately and chosen by specialized opticians who can recommend them to users in order to ensure optimal visual health. We can maintain our visual health by following basic health rules.
1) We buy contact lenses, cosmetic or refractive ONLY from licensed optical shops.
2) We ALWAYS use contact lenses after consulting our optician who will guide us with regards to their correct usage.
3) We keep our contact lenses in their special case with the appropriate liquid and we NEVER use tap water or saline solution.
4) We take note of the expiry date on the contact lenses and their cleaning solutions. We NEVER use them after they have expired.
5) We NEVER exchange lenses with other users.
6) We are especially careful throughout carnival season not to let our contact lenses come into contact with make- up products.
We must apply them before applying make-up.
